About Handmade By W

I’m an independent jeweler based in Kuala Lumpur, specializing in handmade jewelry with a passion for artistry, an obsession with details, and an unwavering commitment to designing with a difference.

My journey into jewelry-making began with a deep-rooted love for arts and crafts and an insatiable fascination with fashion accessories—like most girls, I was drawn to anything that sparkled! But it was my late mother, a fellow admirer of natural stones, who introduced me to the world of gemstones and crystals. Through her, I learned that each stone is nature’s unique gift—each one distinct, carrying its own story and energy.

As my passion for natural stones grew, I had an epiphany—if I was investing so much in fashion accessories, why not create my own? While studying interior design in college, I started crafting my own jewelry pieces, which eventually led me down a path of self-learning and exploration. I devoured books, studied techniques, and experimented endlessly, always striving to create pieces that were strikingly different.


The Birth of Handmade By W

In 2018, I took a leap of faith and turned my passion into my career, officially launching Handmade By W.

My background in interior design played a pivotal role in shaping my approach to jewelry-making. It trained my eye to appreciate the beauty of lines, forms, and intricate details—elements that now define my signature style. My designs are never conventional; I embrace the unexpected and push boundaries to create pieces that are unique yet timeless.


My Silversmithing Journey

Five years ago, I took my craft to the next level by diving into silversmithing, seeking full control over my designs and creations. Working with precious metals like silver and gold opened up a whole new world of possibilities—it was an incredible journey of discovery and craftsmanship.

Silversmithing allowed me to bridge traditional metalworking skills with a modern approach to design, blending age-old techniques with contemporary aesthetics. Every piece is meticulously crafted by hand, ensuring that no two are ever alike. This hands-on mastery over the materials has given me the freedom to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces, reinforcing my belief in the value of originality and artistry.
